Infinite Athlete and its Revolutionary Technology Expand into Professional Golf
SAN FRANCISCO and ORLANDO, FL – August 15, 2023 – Today, technology company Infinite Athlete announced a partnership with TGL; the new, tech-forward golf league launching in January 2024 and backed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports; to bring its FusionFeed™ technology to power revolutionary AI-enabled experiences.
Infinite Athlete is the comprehensive and industry-leading platform for sports technology, a single solution from which global leagues, clubs, and teams can improve all aspects of broadcast viewing, athlete performance, fan experience, coaching, and operations to empower a better experience, with greater opportunities across the landscape of global sports for athletes, fans and the game.
Infinite Athlete is the parent company for Tempus Ex MachinaTM and Biocore, combining sports video and data technology with safety and performance analytics run by world-leading biomechanical engineers and scientists.
Over the course of the multi-year pact, TGL will work toward leveraging FusionFeed to create new AI-driven products across many aspects of the league’s operational and fan-facing initiatives.
“AI models can only be as effective as the data inputs you have feeding into them. Tempus Ex’s FusionFeed™ technology is designed to synchronize every piece of data produced at a sporting event, so they can ingest the vast amounts of data and video at TGL matches, optimizing our ability to create new experiences for fans,” said Andrew Macaulay, Chief Technology Officer, TMRW Sports.
“We are energized about this partnership with TGL and the opportunity to bring our technology to yet another sport,” said Sid Rao, SVP of global partnerships and revenue, Infinite Athlete. “By partnering with a league like TGL that is strategically building its technology stack from the ground up, we are able to unlock dynamic revenue-generating and enhance fan experience opportunities for them as it continues to grow.”
Infinite Athlete’s FusionFeed technology is the only solution that can synchronize and deliver every available piece of data generated by every data and video vendor at a live sporting event — including each video angle, stats platform, and player tracker covering each play.
TGL, launched in partnership with the PGA TOUR, offers a fresh approach to the sport with a focus on technology, innovation, and fan engagement. A purpose-built venue in Palm Beach, Florida, will combine a data-rich virtual course with a state-of-the-art short game complex creating a unique experience for the fans in the stands and watching around the world. The new league will feature the world’s top players in a two-hour, team golf competition that merges physical and virtual golf airing in primetime and beginning in January 2024. Twelve players committed to play in TGL have previously been announced, including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Xander Schauffele, Max Homa, Billy Horschel, and Rickie Fowler.
